Sasa veitchii or KUMA-ZASA, the Japanese name, is a highly valued dwarf
bamboo commonly used in the Japanese garden. The straw colored leaf edge
is due to the coming cooler weather in October and November. This unique
feature remains for winter. Springtime brings lush new vibrant green leaves.
