This tropical clumping bamboo is one of the most popular bamboos for interior
use. Bambusa vulgaris 'Vittata' is also known as Greenstripe Bamboo. It
may be grown outdoors in So. Florida and California. There are many fine
stands of this bamboo in Hawaii. The painting was found at the Smithsonian.
